Christensen staged the still life for “At the Winery” in the barrel room of an old winery that is no longer operational. The massive antique barrels in the background are constructed of redwood and contrast with the oak to the right of the painting. Once again Christensen chooses some of his favorites to create a mood. His treatment of the wine glasses on this piece is remarkable.
