The photo inspiration for “Chardonnay Coast’ was taken in Capitola looking south toward Monterey Bay. The central California coast, has great influence on the chardonnay grapes grown in this appellation. Christensen paints the last remnants of costal fog which lingers along the coast until it dissipates as the day warms.
