Since returning from his last visit to the Hawaiian Islands, Christensen has been yearning to compose a piece that captures the feeling of being in Hawaii. At last, Christensen’s stunning new watercolor with a decidedly Hawaiian theme! This amazing piece titled "Aloha Alii", features deep red and yellow orchids which represent the colors of Hawaiian Royalty, originally inspired by native island birds.

 

Tropical mango, Anthurium flowers and palm leaves contribute to this composition of a relaxing Hawaiian Island setting. Sunlight gives the glasses sparkle and provides the opportunity to follow reflections in many areas of this painting.
