A Unique Commission by Special Request - Buster

 

A dog lover understands the true meaning of “man’s best friend”.  Most dog parents cannot envision their lives without one of these treasured companions by their side.  And sometimes, there is one original canine personality that stands out from the rest.  This special portrait is a tribute to a very unique 12-year-old buddy whose life’s mission it was to serve as a nurse, 1st mate, protector and real-life hero who saved his owner’s life. 

 

 

Eric loves dogs and was touched and honored to immortalize Buster as a special request by one of his collectors.  He began the painting just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit our shores and cast a dark cloud on life as we know it.  Throughout the shelter-in-place, Eric would get up in the morning look forward to painting this deeply personal homage - and feel comfort knowing he would be seeing Buster’s happy face throughout the day.  Even after his passing, Buster has a way of bringing serenity  and sweetness to all who see his loving spirit.
